Birth and Death Notices - Online Self Service Portal
Registering a birth or death is a much more straightforward process than registering a notice of marriage. Citizens are able to progress through a relatively short journey of questions, with prompts and help being provided where required.
Through these qualification questions, evocos will provide an intelligent and cohesive journey for the citizen leading them to the final stage of booking an appointment online (if they meet the set criteria). If the citizen fails to meet the requirements and are unable to book an appointment online the reasons are explained along with contact information and action steps to help them get to the next stage in the process.
Registrar Diary Management
If successful, the citizen will be presented with a set of available appointments, and are able to select their desired slot based on a time and date that suits them. This calendar functionality can be managed by the registrar directly. They can allocate available time slots as well as being able to block out periods when they are not available for appointments. They can also assign time slots to specific appointment types, e.g. enabling them to schedule notifications of marriages all during the morning, followed by an afternoon of birth services.
An increasing number of local authorities are adopting intelligent workflows and automating their processes through the use of technology. Through this technology they are increasing the level of access to their services via their website, allowing their citizens to simply book an appointment (register a birth or death or a marriage notification) at their convenience, increasing the efficiency of the service offered whilst reducing the cost to the local authority.
